Tokyo Sushi

NEW SUSHI RESTAURANT IN TOWN!
OK, in Fairfield, CA on Oliver Rd. there used to be this small restaurant called Teriyaki Chicken. The inside currently looks the same and it now has a large sushi menu. Teriyaki Chicken now goes by the new name Tokyo Sushi. I thought the life size geisha mannequin was humorous.

I had Yo Sushi today. I tend to order a lot of items to fulfill my needs. These items tend to add up fast.

Bike’s Galore!

August 15, 2007 by michaelhoefling

So I was driving to the mall today when i noticed the craziest thing on wheels. This truck must of had 100 kid bicycles crammed all together. There are two reasons I can think of that this person is doing: (1) recycling, or (2) making an art piece. Does anyone else have an idea?

Fuji Sushi Boat & Buffet

August 14, 2007 by michaelhoefling

Fuji Sushi Boat & Buffet located in Davis, CA is where I went for brunch today. It’s exactly how it sounds, sushi boat & buffet. This price is set at $10.95 for all-you-can-eat. This was my first time to Fuji’s but I went with some friends who been there before. It’s good to know that if one were to go to Fuji’s then you must go early! The opening time is at 11:00am. If you show up anytime after that you will be waiting for a table, well if you show up anytime before 11:00am you will still be waiting. My advice to everyone is to go 20-40 minutes early because the line goes a block long and the inside is fairly small. Yes, people wait for this place to open. The fish is good and the price is well worth it. It’s funny because there’s a all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant right across the street and there’s no line and no one there. That alone says something interesting about Fuji Sushi Boat & Buffet.
Here are pictures of the before opening line. Well this was like around 10:50ish.

iPhone Arcade Crane Game

July 26, 2007 by michaelhoefling

OH Shit. In New Jersey, this crane arcade game was spotted. I’m guessing it’s 1 dollar per grab. I bet no one will actually get the iPhone from that game. I can’t even get a bart Simpson doll, let alone a iPhone.

WebSite of the Week: Okayplayer

April 10, 2007 by michaelhoefling

This site is a prominent source for true hip-hop news. Okayplayer.com was co-founded by The Roots’ drummer Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson in 1999. If you’re familiar with this site, then you will know that it’s more of a community of hip-hop. Okayplayer.com is on top of the hip-hop news as well as great CD reviews. They offer products through their store and have a great chat room.

Sushi Bar

April 9, 2007 by michaelhoefling

I went to Kazan Japanese Cuisine in Vacaville, CA for lunch. This is the first time I’v been to this sushi bar. I took up some friendly advice on some favorites. I ended up getting:
Kazan Roll
Dragon Roll
Yoshi Roll
California Roll

This accounts for about 40 pieces of sushi split between two people.
I saw some other rolls on the menu that that seemed clever enough to mention:
Peabody Roll (named because restaurant is on Peabody Rd.)
Dixon Roll
Fairfield Roll
Vacaville Roll
SAN Francisco Roll
HW 80 Roll
Raider Roll
Got Sushi 2 Roll
Rock N Roll
Philadelphia Roll
1 St. St. Special
Tiger Roll
Chef Rainbow Roll
Hawaii Roll

and much much more.

Stupid Prices

April 9, 2007 by michaelhoefling

I just thought the name of this store was funny. I actually went inside to see these “stupid prices”. This store reminds me of a cheaper version of World Market. They have furniture, food, home supplies, garden supplies, HDTV’s, used video games, electronics, and misc.
