NEW SUSHI RESTAURANT IN TOWN!
OK, in Fairfield, CA on Oliver Rd. there used to be this small restaurant called Teriyaki Chicken. The inside currently looks the same and it now has a large sushi menu. Teriyaki Chicken now goes by the new name Tokyo Sushi. I thought the life size geisha mannequin was humorous.

Fuji Sushi Boat & Buffet located in Davis, CA is where I went for brunch today. It’s exactly how it sounds, sushi boat & buffet. This price is set at $10.95 for all-you-can-eat. This was my first time to Fuji’s but I went with some friends who been there before. It’s good to know that if one were to go to Fuji’s then you must go early! The opening time is at 11:00am. If you show up anytime after that you will be waiting for a table, well if you show up anytime before 11:00am you will still be waiting. My advice to everyone is to go 20-40 minutes early because the line goes a block long and the inside is fairly small. Yes, people wait for this place to open. The fish is good and the price is well worth it. It’s funny because there’s a all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant right across the street and there’s no line and no one there. That alone says something interesting about Fuji Sushi Boat & Buffet.
Here are pictures of the before opening line. Well this was like around 10:50ish.

The pick-what-you-want-and-have-it-cooked-fresh meal. For about $11 one can get a bowl packed of goodies like meats and veggies with noodles and and combo of sauces. Yes, it’s $11 because you can go back and get more. It was good and filling.

After school I went to Costco for lunch and got two Sinai Kosher hot-dogs. Two hot-dogs is a lot even for me. Their only $1.50 each which includes a drink. So $3.00 for two hot-dogs and two drinks, even though I only needed one drink. I usually get the works; this would include ketchup, mustard, relish and onions. One cool thing is you don’t have to have a Costco membership to buy lunch.

My mom makes this annual dinner of corned beef and cabbage in relation to St. Patrick’s Day. I looked forward to this meal all week. Those who do not know, its a true de’lish. This meal consists of corned beef, cabbage all in a soup based broth with some carrots. When it’s ready to eat it’s prepared with mustard on dark rye bread or the more popular jewish rye bread. From that you can make a sandwich or just plop it all together and enjoy. When the leftovers are gone I wont be seeing this meal for another year.

I looked in my fridge and I was astonished that not only was there a POM pomegranate black tea but a Pom that is 46 full ounces! I compared it to the “normal” sized POM tea drinks (the glass). This picture doesn’t capture the true size of this drink. I love POM.
