WebSite of the Week: Dahon Bikes

April 3, 2007

Dahon.com is a great site. Well it’s great if you’re looking into folding bikes. The reason this site if worth my weekly award is because of their quality. Also due to my new Dahon Vitesse D5 bike that came in the mail today. I took a nice test drive and spent some time with it, I love it! Just this march they discontinued the bike I bought.
Dahon quotes:

Dahon is committed to creating green mobility solutions for people who live active, environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Of Note: This is the first of the weekly WebSite glories. I will be posting sites that I think deserve to be looked at. WebSite of the Week will come every Monday.

Collapsible Bike’s are my current interest

March 7, 2007

Collapsible bike’s or Folding bike’s are cool on my list. I’ve been looking into the brand Dahon. In particular I have been looking at the Dahon Vitesse D5 which is a 2006 model. Compared to your “normal” bike, the folding bike is smaller, for compact reasons such as storage. Thats good, because I don’t see much need to lock up a folding bike to a public post with a chain. I found that folding bicycles are popular in East Asia and the United Kingdom, but are less common in the United States. Their major advantage is that they can be folded up and taken on public transport and into buildings where conventional bicycles cannot. I prefer 20″ wheels..rolling on Dubs. Well I plan on getting one between now and summer.
